“Diastasis” is a little bit of a scary word, especially among pregnant and postpartum people. We treat a lot of patients who are a little panicked when they see a coning or doming in their abdomen, but we don’t want you to be afraid! Diastasis is very common and also very treatable.

Though diastasis is most common in pregnant and postpartum people, it can also happen if you’ve had a significant change in weight, or if you participate in strenuous weight-lifting activity.

Join us for a special event on Saturday, Feb. 24th, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., where you can schedule a 15-minute one-on-one meeting with one of Well + Core’s doctors of physical therapy. In just 15 minutes, we will check you for diastasis, give you information on proper breathing and supportive exercises, and discuss further treatment ONLY if necessary.
