FAQs
Pelvic floor physical therapy FAQs
Do you take my insurance?
We are a private pay practice, which means we are out-of-network with all insurance providers. You can choose to receive a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We also take HSA and FSA.
Staying out of network allows us to offer more effective and personalized treatment than what insurance companies often dictate. We can also often be more cost-effective because in many cases, we can treat patients in fewer sessions than insurance requires.

What is an initial evaluation?
At Well + Core, every new patient begins with a required 90-minute initial evaluation. This one-time appointment allows us to conduct a comprehensive assessment, review your full medical and family history, and understand your specific concerns and goals.
You’ll only need to complete this evaluation once—even if there's a long gap between appointments—so we can build a strong foundation for your care moving forward.

What does a typical physical therapy session look like?
We will do a thorough examination of the pelvis, lower back, pelvic floor, and lower extremities to assess and determine an appropriate treatment plan. This may or may not include an internal vaginal or rectal examination. If you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us or schedule a complimentary phone consultation to determine if Well+Core PT is a suitable option for you.

What is your cancellation policy?
You must cancel your appointment within 48 hours to avoid a cancellation fee. Your first cancellation or no-show inside that 48-hour window results in a 50% fee. Additional cancellations or no-shows within 48 hours of your appointment result in a 100% cancellation fee. (Exceptions may be made for inclement weather, emergencies, etc.)
Can I still come to my appointment if I’m on my period?
Yes! If you’re comfortable, we’re comfortable. Depending on the symptoms we’re treating, it may even give us a better understanding of your pelvic floor to examine you during your period.
